Apply for an RCVS Knowledge quality improvement award

Are you already making progress on antimicrobial stewardship in practice? We’d love to hear about your project. The ‘Improving antimicrobial stewardship’ category in the RCVS Knowledge quality improvement awards is open to any member of the  veterinary team, including non-clinical staff like receptionists or practice managers, using recognised quality improvement techniques to audit and improve the use of antimicrobials. Don’t forget – if you’ve applied in previous years you can do so again as long as you’ve made progress with your project or started a new one.

Take part in the Animal Medicines Amnesty

Ensuring that clients’ antimicrobials are disposed of correctly is a simple way to make a big impact on AMR. To take part in the Animal Medicines Amnesty (1-30 November 2026), speak to your clients about any unused antimicrobials or other medications they have at home, and ask them to bring them into your practice for safe disposal.
