Propofol wastage audit case example

In this award-winning case example, the team at Medivet audited the usage of propofol within the practice. Their aim was to reduce the environmental and clinical wastage of propofol, after it was identified how much of the drug was going unused.

After implementing several interventions, propofol wastage decreased by 15.6% overall.

The team were named champions in the 2025 RCVS Knowledge Awards for this project.
