About Katie
Katie joined RCVS Knowledge in 2023, bringing two decades’ experience of research, innovation and quality improvement in human health.
With an academic background in human sciences, and much of her career spent in influential organisations working in health and science policy and practice, Katie is particularly fascinated by the interconnections between animal, human and environmental health and the role of animals in our society.
Before joining RCVS Knowledge, Katie led communications and engagement at UCLPartners and at The King’s Fund health thinktank, where she established a multi-award-winning team and led work to explain the complex health and social care system to a broad audience.
Katie has a keen interest in charity leadership and governance. She is a trustee of the Royal College of Pharmacy, having previously held governance roles at St George’s Hospital Charity and the Mental Health Foundation.
