We are delighted to announce that Veterinary Evidence is now indexed in PubMed, the largest database of biomedical literature in the world. This milestone significantly increases the global reach of the journal’s evidence-based content, making it more easily discoverable to veterinary professionals worldwide.
Peter Cockcroft, Editor in Chief at Veterinary Evidence, said: ‘To be indexed in PubMed, the journal underwent a rigorous independent review of its scientific and editorial quality by the National Library of Medicine. This is a mark of the standards we uphold as a journal through the agency of our authors, editors, and reviewers. We are very proud of this achievement and what it means for the wider veterinary community in providing evidence-based information from the research literature to support clinical decision making in practice’
Veterinary Evidence is now indexed in PubMed, Scopus, DOAJ and other major databases and supports authors throughout every stage of the publishing process, whether they’re first-time or experienced authors. The journal helps veterinarians, veterinary nurses, and paraprofessionals improve the quality of care provided to animals and publishes content that advances evidence-based veterinary medicine and supports better decision-making in practice.
Bridget Sheppard, Managing Editor at Veterinary Evidence, said: ‘By publishing with Veterinary Evidence, authors can directly contribute to the evidence base that informs everyday decision-making in clinical practice. With the journal now indexed in PubMed, that evidence can now reach a wider global veterinary audience.’
The journal is now working towards inclusion in Web of Science and Medline as part of its commitment to increasing its visibility, discoverability and impact of veterinary evidence.
