Peri-operative temperature audit

Holly Warrilow RVN was awarded highly commended in the 2020 RCVS Knowledge Awards for her peri-operative temperature audit. Holly audited the temperature of anaesthetised and sedated patients with the aim of decreasing the percentage of patients reaching hypothermia.

Following this audit a number of improvements were made, including the implementation of a new clinical guideline. A re-audit demonstrated a 12.23% improvement in the number of patients reaching hypothermia.
