Dental analgesia audit

Kay Lockwood RVN, from Riversbrook Veterinary Group, was awarded highly commended in the 2020 RCVS Knowledge Awards for her dental analgesia audit.

Kay conducted a post-operative check audit for feline dental procedures to see if the patients presented back to practice in pain. The audit found that only 25% of cat dental extractions received anaesthetic blocks. Following staff training this has risen to 78% of patients.
