Hygiene audit

In 2020, Vale Vets was recognised as an RCVS Knowledge Award Champion for its clinical audit on the hand hygiene of clinical staff. The team collected data on hand washing through random assessments and a self-assessment questionnaire, finding that hygiene was good overall but could be improved. They used these findings to create a clearer hand-washing protocol.
