RCVS Knowledge expands national rollout of in person quality improvement events with multicity tour across England

Find out more about our series of upcoming QI training events.

Veterinary charity RCVS Knowledge has announced the return and expansion of its hugely popular quality improvement in a day events, with three in person dates confirmed across England as part of a new effort to support teams with hands-on QI training to more regions.

Building on previous events attended by hundreds of veterinary professionals both online and in person, the 2026 series marks a renewed commitment to meeting teams where they are. By hosting sessions in London, Bristol and Newcastle, RCVS Knowledge aims to make QI support more accessible to practices across the country.

The dates for the events are as follows:

Each fullday session delivers 6 hours of interactive CPD designed for the entire veterinary team and led by QI experts Lou Northway, RVN; Julie Gibson, MRCVS; and Rachel Clay, MRCVS.

RCVS Knowledge Clinical Lead and event speaker Lou Northway said: “It’s time to put ‘we’ve always done it this way’ in the bin and embrace a ‘could it be better?’ mindset. We’re not just talking about clinical outcomes but full-circle practice life. What would you like to improve in your workplace? Come along and let us show you how you can do it!”

Peter O’Hagan, former attendee of quality improvement in a day said: “QI in a day proved to be a great forum for our team leaders to learn and develop together, with content that was highly relevant to many aspects of our daily practice. Having this delivered by an experienced vet and nurse team meant it was nicely interactive and well-received.

“QI in a day has really helped improve our confidence with clinical auditing and significant event analysis and we are now seeing the benefits filter through to our patients and colleagues.”

Attendees at these events will learn how to improve patient safety and clinical outcomes as well as team wellbeing and learning by:

Early bird tickets are priced at £150 per person, with further discounts applied to bookings made in groups. Early bird ticket sales for the event in London on 4 March close on 11 February.
