Getting started with QI
Our research shows that while there’s strong support for QI in principle, many teams are unsure of what it looks like in practice. Those new to QI often ask for clear, manageable steps and signposting to help them get started.
We also know the three biggest barriers to getting started with QI are time, know-how and organisational support. That’s why our focus is on providing practical resources and guidance to help practice-based teams embed formal QI approaches with confidence.
What our role is
We work with our quality improvement advisory board and veterinary teams to develop resources for busy teams to make a start with continuous quality improvement in their practice.
We champion techniques that, when applied in a continuous cycle, create an efficient structure for delivering evidence-based, quality care, making improvement achievable and sustainable.
